Flikli at the Grammys: How Video Storytelling Got Us to the Red Carpet

It all started casually—just hanging out at my neighbor’s place, with the Grammys playing in the background. As the nominees for Best Urban Contemporary Album were announced, we saw Beyoncé. We saw Rihanna. And then—boom—we saw our friends—KING.

And just like that, Flikli’s 8-bit music video for KING’s hit “The Greatest” erupted across the giant screen on stage. It was one of those surreal moments where everything kind of stops, and you think, “Wow… this is real.”

So, how did we go from an internal project to having our video appear at one of the biggest celebrations in music?

It started with something small but powerful: an 8-bit video we created for the Olympic Games that racked up 100K views in just a week.  It not only received a Vimeo Staff Pick but also caught the attention of KING, and the next thing we knew, we were collaborating on a music video that would make its way to the Grammys stage.

This is the power of video storytelling

It’s not just about creating content—it’s about telling a story that connects, excites, and leaves a lasting impact.

And for us, this isn’t just a win; it’s a celebration of how great video can elevate a message, a brand, and a vision.
